Thrift store and TJMaxx finds...

 Ok I had to get my thrifting and TJMaxx fix...I haven't been in FOREVER! Sooo I hit the road. I didn't find anything at the thrift store except for this picture holder that rotates. BUT I've been wanting one of these for a while now and its the perfect metal that I was looking for and I'll use it in the living room once I'm done with it and start "re-accessorizing" I only gave $6 for it and it was brand new! I had to take it out of it's original packaging, it's heavy too so I feel like I got a good deal on it considering that it was originally $30 from Belk and then marked down to $14.99....I figure $6 was nothing! SCORE one for me!

Then I went to TJMaxx and headed straight for the home clearance isle like I always do and ran across this potpourri that was clearanced out at $2! So I snagged that up since it's also the new colors that I'm gonna use in the living room makeover. I also found a serving platter that matches the rest of my pretty plates that I bought last year that is robins egg blue that I also found at TJMaxx last year and only gave $6.99 for it! I didn't take a picture of it because I figured that you all were tired of seeing the dinnerware that I keep showing.

Dishes dishes and more kitchen dishes

Hey well while Suzie was here she pointed out that I hadn't shown you all these dishes, well how that I have them displayed anyway. I've shown you the pretty robins egg blue dishes that I found at nowhere else but the Big T (TJMaxx for those of you that don't know that I love that store). Then the smaller plates in front of those I found on ebay as well as the ones that are behind the blue ones. I have them in a little cuddy hole above my microwave in the kitchen and along with so many other things in there, I just love them. I'm not quite sure what has me liking plates so much but it seems like I'm getting quite a collection of them. I'm working on making a display of them on the wall in the kitchen (when I can ever find some more plate hangers, those things are hard to find) and then I'm also going to do a display in my bedroom as well with some pretty pink roses on them. Want those just look precious? No your not getting my vision? Well as soon as I can get more of those hangers I'll just have to show you now want I?
So long for now, I'm off to make something good for supper so I can put them in those pretty plates of mine.....

More Treasures from the Max

Hey all....boy am I ever late posting today! But I just had to share these little gems with you that I found at TJMaxx last week on my marathon shopping trip with my mom. I gave $2.99 for the large plate and $1.99 for the smaller plates. I just love them and plan on hanging them on my wall in my bedroom once I collect enough with roses on them. or pretty pink flowers.

Then I also picked up and huge container of eggs at The Maxx as well. They were actually ones that you would hang on a tree but I had no use for that so I tucked them inside a old basket that I found thrifting. Silly me took a whole bunch of baskets to Goodwill when I got rid of a bunch of stuff about 3 months ago and here I go buying them back again. But on the positive side at least I'm getting some really old vintage looking ones so that I can reuse them to put ornies in once the craft fair rolls around. But for only .50 it's really not a big deal.

Hope that everyone had as beautiful day as we did here in East Tennessee. I noticed that my hosta are popping up today so that means that summer want be too long coming...I know I know we are just now getting into spring but summer is sooooo much fun here and I'm ready for it.

Sweet little roses

Look how sweet these little roses are... I found them at my favorite store today ... yeah you guessed it, TJMaxx and they were on clearance! Only $2.50. It is actually a little rose ball and it sits in a silver tray. I just knew that it was going home with me when I spotted it today. I went junkin' today too with my mom and found some goodies but haven't taken pictures yet. I'll do that tomorrow so I can share with you.

I'm amazed at TJMaxx

Well I was just in shock when a friend of mine and myself went to TJMaxx a couple of weeks ago and found these plates. I had been looking at the same ones on eBay and they were selling for anywhere from $9.99-$14.99 per plate! They sold them at Marshall's and I can only imagine what they sold for there. Well the thriftiness in me came out and I only had to pay $4.99 for them! I'm loving it. I was looking everywhere for some transferware but it was always soooo expensive and I just couldn't afford it. So you can imagine my surprise when my friend spotted them first knowing that it was what I had been looking for. I couldn't wait to get them in the buggy and get them home. So now I have 2 new sets of dishes and love them both. Thank you TJMaxx, you have a fan in me for sure.

TJMaxx Find!

I saw these plates on a blog back in October and just had to have them. They match my kitchen walls to a tee and let me tell ya they are so much fun to eat out of. My husband and son love them as well and they are so girly...so go figure. I love shopping at Target. You can find higher end items at a fraction of the cost and I love everything that I've ever purchased from there. I just found another set of dishes last week from there as well and will post those next. So see even if you are on a tight budget doesn't mean that you can't have high end items....as long as there's a TJMaxx around.
